Iskra Zafirovska
Iskra Zafirovska received her B.E. (Photovoltaics and Solar Energy) degree with Honours Class 1 from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) in 2015, during which she became a recipient of the UNSW Sydney Co-op Scholarship. She is currently a PhD student with the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE) at UNSW Sydney. Her interests include characterisation of silicon photovoltaics, characterisation tool development, and software design.
Her current research is in photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) imaging for silicon solar cells and modules, with a focus on imaging industrial modules using a line scan methodology. She has developed an automated line scan luminescence imaging system, which is currently in operation at UNSW Sydney and under commercialisation by BT Imaging Pty Ltd. Experiments she performed using this system have demonstrated the capabilities of line scan PL and EL imaging for fault detection and identification, quantitative performance monitoring, and general characterisation.
