The group under Prof Thorsten Trupke is well known for it's world leading research in Photoluminescence Imaging of photovoltaic cells and materials. 

Much has changed since the early beginnings, where Prof Trupke and Dr Bardos demonstrated the first luminescence images of Silicon wafers.
After Prof Trupke and Dr Bardos founded BT-Imaging, a company that quickly became the international leader for Photoluminescence inspection tools, Prof Trupke continued his research at UNSW. His constantly growing research group works on a multitude of imaging related research projects.
